Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper

Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper at Klipsch Music Center

Why see Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper?

Two Icons For The Price of One!

Rod Stewart has once again decided to team up with fellow rock sensation Cyndi Lauper, for a 22 venue North American Summer Tour. Stewart and Lauper are two of pop's music great survivors, weathering new trends and reinventing themselves at every turn - and they never look anything other than fabulous doing it. The pair also firm friends, having first performed together at 1985's Commitment to Life benefit concert, and kept in touch ever since. This tour will see them performing a handful of duets, alongside a solo set each.

From his early days in the rock band The Faces, Rod Stewart has strutted his way through disco, new wave and the American songbook, leaving behind a catalogue of undeniable classics, including 'Maggie May', 'Do You Think I'm Sexy', 'Sailing' and 'You Wear it Well'. Cyndi burst on to the pop music scene in the 80s with her colorful look and hooky pop tunes like 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun'. Recently her career has taken a new musical theater direction, which saw her pen the score for Broadway blockbuster Kinky Boots, for which she won a Tony Award.

Rod Stewart/Cyndi Lauper BB&T 7/12/17

Saw this last night. Both artist were in top form. Cyndi opened and gave 1 hour of energized music that the crowd danced to. She looked hot and reflective of her years. Rod Stewart came out at 9 and just totally blew us away with hit after hit until 1045. He covered every hit from the Faces, solo work up to and including his last studio album. Rod looked great and was quite the showman. He had Cyndi come out on song #2 and it was awesome. This tour should not be missed for any fan of his, or for any music lover... ... Read more

His song Forever Young says it all!

Great show by both, I will have to say that Sir Rod not only performed outstanding, but has also put together a fantastic band playing multiple instruments. The dancers and back vocals were also a class act. As an avid concert goer, This marked my 150th concert and I can't think of no better way to celebrate. Loved the tributes to Sen. McCain and the Queen Aretha Franklin. Keep on ROCKIN!! ... Read more
