Why see John Cusack?

Give it a Shot

Actor John Cusack (High Fidelity, Say Anything) presents a screening of one of his most iconic movies, Grosse Point Blank, followed by a conversation and an audience Q&A.

Released in 1997, Grosse Point Blank is that rarest of films - a successful action comedy. The story centers Cusack's hitman Martin, who has become disillusioned with his line of work. Looking for a change of scenery, he accepts an invitation to a high school reunion. Back in his hometown, he reconnects with an old girlfriend (Minnie Driver), but his work won't let him get away that easily, with both the NSA and rival assassins showing up to put a dampener on his new found happiness.

Great to have John in Chicago

John was true to form, candid, funny and entertaining. The moderator was good and set a relaxed mood. For John, 5 Stars, for Moderator, 2 Stars

John was open, friendly and extremely personable to everyone who asked a question. He's an outgoing person, highly intelligent and loves his craft. The moderator was a little too fan-boy and intimidated at the beginning, but improved as we went along. I've never been to this type of event but I'm so glad I went. I very much enjoyed it. Some very cringe things were said to John unfortunately, and not everyone behaved appropriately but people are people and I'm sure John's had to endure worse. John, please return to Tacoma. We'd love to do this again some time! ... Read more
